This training is aimed at frontline practitioners to provide an understanding of how trauma can affect children, young people and adults that we work with.

What will I learn?
This training has been developed in partnership between Somerset’s Educational Psychology Service and the SSCP, it will enable participants to:
Consider what trauma informed principles you can use to support your interactions with people
Gain an understanding of what trauma and adverse childhood experiences are and how they can impact individuals
Understand the symptoms of trauma and recognising stress responses
Understand what it means to become trauma informed and how it can be developed
